Process
Monsters have always been my favorite thing to draw. They let you imprint a diverse range of characteristics and emotions onto a single character. The book (and all its pieces) was created to share and teach this passion, with the secondary intention of improving motor skills and getting kids excited about drawing.
Monster Mashup the App soon followed, adding gamification elements like nurturing one’s creation and earning points toward new customization opportunities.
Results
Monster Mashup is a self-published best-seller at comic book shops and conventions local to the Greater Boston area.
